Of Conventions

Dear Readers,

We meet again, after a month. I actually had some spare time that I could have utilized to update this blog, but nevertheless I did something else instead. (Read : Malas)

So for the past few weeks have been more or less typical. However, last week I went to a convention. Sounds cool, but not really.

Sebenarnya majlis yang saya pergi pada minggu lalu tidaklah sehebat bunyinya. Konvensyen tersebut adalah majlis pelancaran model terbaru penyaman udara keluaran "Syarikat P".

Majlis dimulakan dengan acara minum pagi (saya suka ini). Ada "Mi goreng Maharaja", (menurut label di makanan itu), Samosa dan Dim Sum. Minuman pula, seperti biasa ada teh, dan kopi (sangat keras).

Selesai makan, saya mengambil peluang melihat produk yang dilancarkan pada hari itu, berserta pelbagai produk-produk lain keluaran syarikat P. Tahukah anda peti sejuk juga didatangkan dengan teknologi "inverter" juga, sebagaimana penyaman udara zaman sekarang?

Kemudian acara dimulakan dengan ucapan perasmian oleh (tak ingat jawatannya apa)
Diiringi dengan persembahan slideshow tentang pencapaian syarikat P dalam tahun ini.

My honest opinion was, I felt like I was watching anime. Examples of sentences that led me to this are:

"We have become the absolute namba one in LCD TV sales in the year 2008-2009."

Sort of "Ultimate!!! kickkk!!!!!" from a typical manga.

Anyway, the launch was followed up by a laser show. Ever been shot by lasers before?

I have.

Tak lah sakit sangat. Sakit mata ada lah.

So in the end, there was lunch.

Oh, and a lucky draw.

Which I won the grand prize of two (2) units of air-conditioners.
